Aging Well Learning Community

A group of older adults participating in the King County Library Aging Well Learning Community

The Aging Well Learning Community is a program sponsored by the King County Library System that's dedicated to aging well with consciousness, courage, and contribution.

Sessions are held on the third Thursday of every month both in-person at the North Bend Library and on Zoom. One doesn't need to be a member of the King County Library System to participate. I live in Oregon and was warmly welcomed when I participated in a recent Zoom session.

Discussion topics vary from month to month. The session I joined was devoted to music; participants were invited to choose a song meaningful to their life to share. Other months, the discussion can center around nonfiction and fiction books, films, and other arts as catalysts for reflection and conversation. You don't need to have read the book or seen the film to participate in the discussion.

Registration is required for these free events.
